We're a VPN comparison site that practices what we preach. We collect minimal data, don't track you across the web, and don't sell anything to anyone.
1. Information We Collect
We collect very little information about visitors to our site:
- Server logs: Like most websites, our server records basic access logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are automatically deleted after 30 days and are only used for security and troubleshooting.
- Contact form submissions: If you contact us, we receive whatever information you choose to provide (email address, message content).
We do NOT use:
- Google Analytics or similar tracking services
- Advertising networks or retargeting pixels
- Social media tracking widgets
- Fingerprinting or persistent identifiers
2. Cookies
Our main comparison tool stores your filter preferences locally in your browser (localStorage) so your settings persist between visits. This data never leaves your device and we cannot access it.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies of any kind.
3. Affiliate Links
Our site contains affiliate links to VPN providers. When you click these links and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. This is how we fund the site.
Clicking an affiliate link tells the VPN provider that you came from our site, but it does not give us any information about you or your purchase.
Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings, reviews, or recommendations.
4. Third-Party Services
We use minimal third-party services:
- Hosting provider: Our site is hosted on servers we control. Standard server logs are maintained for security purposes.
- CDN (if applicable): We may use a content delivery network to improve site speed. CDN providers have their own privacy policies.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Period.
We may disclose information only if required by law (such as a valid court order), and we will notify you if legally permitted to do so.
6. Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption for all connections to our site. We follow security best practices for our hosting infrastructure. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
- The right to access information we hold about you
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to object to certain processing
